SWADE TRIO blends the heart of gospel, the sophistication of jazz, and the groove of R&B and soul. Led by Stacey Wade — a Berklee-trained musician who performs with Al Green — the trio brings originals and reimagined classics to Portland’s rooms.
With BB Wright’s bass lines and Walter Dean IV’s rhythmic pocket, the group plays clubs, festivals, corporate rooms and private events.

Stacey Wade
Raised in the church, in Al Green’s band since nineteen, Berklee-trained, and musical director for Sweet Honey in the Rock and the Holland America house band. He leads SWADE TRIO out of Portland.
